Kapella doesn’t need any introduction whatsoever when it boils down to the real, authentic, hip hop artistes in the Kenyan rap scene today.
Kapella has been in the industry for years without relent releasing records out there.
Being a veteran in his subtle right, Kapella who also ventured in videography didn’t only release one of the most beautiful music videos in his latest offering with Carlos, he also shot the visuals with a song, the entire thing he shot it with iPhone X.
Premise of the music video
The story follows two undercover detectives as they pursue a female antagonist they suspect to be in possession of some contraband.
We get to see the detectives POV as they stalk and stake out their target.
The two detectives are played by Kapella and Carlos, long time collaborators who put up a noteworthy performance.
The story symbolizes the long time pursuit of the music industry by two tried and tested artists, who over time have learned how important it is to “Take Your Time” while in the search for greatness.
Why iPhone visuals
Giving an explanation on why he chose to shoot a music video with an iPhone, Kapella has some interesting insight on why he took that route.
“… we decided to shoot with an iPhone because we believe smartphone videography is the future and sooner than later we’ll be able to shoot everything with simple devices that can fit in our pockets,” Kapella shared with Biggest Kaka.
The rapper who recently graduated the other day also had some interesting things to say about his latest offering dubbed ‘Take Your Time’ as written and performed by him together with Carlos.
“I can say the record is timeless and part of many more to come, it’s pregame music, music to chill to before a party or a night out with the gang,” Kapella opened up about the song.
This song is definitely a song that has to be in your playlist if it’s not there already since it’s timeless and it resonates with a whole lot of us, the youth who wants nothing but live right, provide for their family and have a good time once in a while.
In case you missed it, here’s the official music video for ‘Take Your Time’ as written and performed by the two rappers.
