After careful deliberation and soul searching, Kanini Kega has decided to seek the EALA MP position through the Jubilee/Azimio Party.

Kanini Kega believes that he has the necessary qualifications and experience to represent Kenya in the East Africa Legislation Assembly.

The former Kieni MP’s name ‘Kanini Kega’ means ‘small and nice (pleasant) in Gikuyu language.

Kanini Kega has also decided to buy his stock of mitumba shoes( Second hand) in preparation, just in case Kenya Kwanza puts a ban on the importation and sale of second-hand shoes and clothes.

Mitumba items are adored by many in Kenya because they are cheap, fashionable and sometimes durable.

Government’s trade, investment, and industry Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria suggested that used clothing re-sale may be banned in the country once a befitting alternative of work is arrived at and the viability of its growth is foreseen.

Via a tweet Kanini Kega says:

“Let me buy enough stock of MITUMBA shoes before the BAN is effected.”
