ICYMI: Kagwe Mungai’s debut album ‘Spectrum’ turned platinum

Kagwe Mungai is one multi-talented artiste, record producer and he can also be a great actor if he chooses to be an actor, I mean he got the looks, the charisma, and the aura around him is like none other you’ve ever seen in the music scene.

Let’s just say Kagwe Mungai who also doubles as a brand ambassador is a walking brand full of surprises.

Speaking of surprises, the gifted entertainer who released his debut album dubbed ‘Spectrum’ last year that was well-received not only in Kenya but across the globe just turned platinum.

This great news not only for Kagwe but for the entire Kenyan music scene might have been overlooked by the mainstream media but not Biggest Kaka, we are here for it.

First off, we would love to commend Kagwe Mungai for the great work and the effort he poured out on the ‘Spectrum’ project that not only established him as a bonafide mainstream musician but also an artiste that can’t and won’t be overlooked in the music industry even in the hundreds of years to come.

Taking to social media, Kagwe Mungai expressed gratitude to the people who were involved in the process of making his debut album while he received the platinum plaque on the first anniversary of ‘Spectrum’.

Ecstatic Kagwe Mungai took strategic photos holding a bottle for celebrating in one hand and the other hand holding the platinum plaque and having a backdrop of the late musical legends from Africa in Fela Kuti, Brenda Fassie, E-Sir, Miriam Makeba and Hugh Masekela.

“MY FIRST PLATINUM PLAQUE CAME TODAY!!! It also marks the one year anniversary of my first album ‘Spectrum’.” Kagwe Mungai said in part on May 24, 2020.

Kagwe Mungai also hinted that he’s also about to drop a sophomore studio album to follow up on the success of his debut ‘Spectrum’ that we should expect sooner rather than later.
