Jimmy Gait has finally opened up about his condition after getting an accurate prognosis from Indian doctors who are handling his case.

Speaking in a YouTube video while in company of his Indian doctor, Jimmy Gait revealed that doctors in Kenya misdiagnosed him.

The gospel singer said that Kenyan doctors wanted to operate on him, adding that they quoted very high figures that made him seek alternative option in India.

“They were very transactional [Kenyan doctors]. They quoted very high figures for me. I could truly tell they were after money not to help me,” said Jimmy Gait.

The gospel singer further reveals that Indian doctors were shocked by the prognosis made by their counterparts in Kenya. He says that Indian doctors ruled out the operation that was recommended by Kenyan doctors.

In India, Jimmy Gait went through a number of tests to diagnose his problem. Indian doctors discovered that he was suffering from increased acid production in the stomach.

The gospel singer said that Indian doctors told him that if he had been operated on the way Kenyan doctors recommended, his problem would have persisted and eventually could have turned to cancer.

“If Kenyan doctors operated on me, the problem wouldn’t have been sorted out because it’s in my stomach. The doctors here told me it would have graduated into stomach cancer,” said Jimmy Gait.
