Bongo Fleva star Jay Melody has said that he has no limits in producing only certain types of music, admitting that he always listens to his fans and gives them what they would like to hear from him.

Melody, who was talking to a blogger in Tanzania, recalled how he released Amapiano song which didn’t do quite well.

Ndio maana ni vizuri kwa msanii wakati mwingine unafaa kuwaza mashabiki wana masikio gani,” he said.

Melody stressed that despite his Amapiano song not doing well he had not given up on releasing songs in different genres as long as it is requested by his fans, revealing that he could do Reggae music.

Mimi nitaendelea kutoa tu ngoma zangu haijalishi. Hata Amapiano nitatoa, hata sijui Reggae nitatoa,” Melody said.

The Tanzanian musician said that during the time he has been in the industry, he has learned to accept all kinds of responses, remembering even when he dreamed of singing ‘Nakupenda’, people criticized him a lot, but as time went on and fans got the patience to listen to the song, they came to love it.

Jay Melody appreciated his Kenyan fans saying that the love they give him has made him to do more shows in Kenya than the ones he has done at home in Tanzania.

Yaani ngoma kama ‘Nakupenda’ ina miaka 2 lakini bado inafanya vizuri Kenya,” he said.
