Jalang’o sends message of encouragement to Joseph Irungu ‘Jowie’ as he spends a year in Kamiti prison

Joseph Irungu ‘Jowie’ has been in remand prison since September 2018 when he was first arrested in connection with the brutal murder of late businesswoman Monica Kimani.

Monica Kimani was found brutally murdered in her Kilimani apartment on September 20th. She was found dead in the bathtub with her neck slit from ear to ear. Her mouth was taped shut, her hands tied at the back and her feet were also bound.

Irungu and his fiancée journalist Jacque Maribe are the key suspects in Ms Kimani’s murder. The latter was arrested on September 24th while the former was apprehended on September 29th.

Irungu was arrested at Maribe’s house at Royal Park Apartment in Langata. Since his arrest, he has been denied bail and has been wasting away at Kamiti Maximum Security Prison. Maribe on the other hand was released on bail on October 30th after spending a month in remand.

Jalang’o has come out to send a message of encouragement to Jowie. The comedian shared a photo he posed with Jowie before his arrest and captioned it “This was a good day…[email protected] 😭😭 Keep holding! ”
