Jalang’o inquires about additional money stolen from him by his employee

Lang’ata MP Jalang’o revealed more than Ksh1 million was stolen from his car yet his employee Eli Omundu said he only knows about the million.

Eli, who has been reinstated by Jalang’o as his groundsman, was put to task to explain the missing millions by the Lang’ata MP.

However, Eli shifted the blame to former colleague Morrison Litiema whom he said took the money from a BMW he was washing.

Eli and Morrison stole the money from Jalang’o on June 4, 2023, and fled.

“Mimi nilikua naosha Discovery Morisson anaosha BMW, na BMW ndo ilikua na pesa pale. Kutoka huko nyuma nakuta gate iko open nkashindwa ahh ndugu ameenda wapi. Nikiwa bado kwa ile harakati ya kumtafuta nkaona tayari naambiwa tumepostiwa hewani sasa ata mimi nkakua na uwoga ikabidi nikimbie nijifiche kwa sababu wananchi wanaweza chukua sheria mkononi,” Eli claimed.

He added that Litiema equally divided the stolen Ksh1 million between the two of them before they fled upcountry.

“Vile tulienda nkafika mahali nkapata ule ndugu tukasema sasa tumefanya na haikua kupenda pia na tayari umechukua hii mali tufanye aje? Ndo akasema tugawanye nusu nusu. Ju Morrison aliniambia alipata milioni moja mpya. Tukagawana mia tano mia tano,” he said.

Jalang’o wondered why Eli was saying only Ksh1 million was stolen, insisting that the figure was higher.

“Na sasa kwa nini muliiba pesa mingi lakini mulikua munasema mumeiba one million? (Why did you guys steal a lot of money yet you were saying you only stole Ksh1 million?) Jalang’o posed.

Omundu explained that Litiema told him he only stole Ksh1 million and gave him Ksh500,000 as his share.

“Sasa hio ingine mimi sikujua. Lakini milioni moja ndo nilijua mimi ata tukagawana nusu nusu,” he said.
