Jackie Matubia has stripped her lastborn daughter of her father’s Luhya surname following their bitter breakup last year.
The occasion was marked by a vibrant Moana-themed party that took place in Matubia’s own backyard.
To ensure that her daughter’s special day was nothing short of magical, Matubia enlisted the help of a local events company to bring the Moana theme to life.
Every detail of the decor was meticulously planned, featuring vibrant hues, oceanic elements, and themed decorations that transformed their home into a tropical paradise.
Matubia revealed her daughter’s Kikuyu surname while wishing her a happy birthday.
Her daughter is called Zendaya Nyambura, she doesn’t have her father’s Luhya surname.
“To my lovely Daughter Zendaya Nyambura, the one that made me a mum again, Kitinda mimba, Raising you ever since you were born till now has been a delight… For you, it was different and very painful doing it by myself 100% but God has shown up and out for us, and as you turn 2 may what God has aligned for you in your life come to pass… You are a Star … May Nations call you blessed,” Jackie Matubia wrote.
Jackie Matubia and Blessing Lung’aho parted ways in 2023.
The mother of two in July 2023 announced on Instagram that she had parted ways with Lung’aho after almost two years of dating.
“Proud single mother of two,” she captioned a photo of herself.
The confirmation comes amid rumours that the celebrity couple’s relationship has hit rocks.
The two made their relationship public via a short film titled ‘baby number 2’ in February 2022 when Jackie revealed Lung’aho was the father of her unborn child.
At the time the two featured on local drama Zora where they played Nana and Madiba. They depicted a ‘struggle love’ in the film.
Later in April 2022, the lovebirds got engaged in a highly publicised event before welcoming their baby girl.
Since going public with their relationship, Matubia and Blessings were overwhelmingly infatuated with each other with the couple doing everything they can to prove their love is real.
The couple had also started creating content together before trouble hit.
