Irate K24 anchor Rose Gakuo gives governors a tongue lashing for holding up journalists for hours after convening press conference

Rose Gakuo was embroiled in a fierce verbal exchange with a number of governors including Council of Governors Chairperson (CoG) Wycliffe Oparanya.

The distraught K24 reporter/anchor couldn’t keep calm after governors convened a press conference only to keep journalists waiting for hours.

Reporters covering the governors’ event were kept waiting for more than two hours on Thursday August 30th as the county bosses remained locked in a boardroom meeting.

When governors finally emerged from their meeting, an irate Rose Gakuo sought to inquire why they did not keep their time as indicated on the invite.

“The invitation time sent to the media. We were told 12:30 pm, perhaps if we were told to come at 2 pm we would have been here at 2. To be told to wait for two and a half hours is really unfair on our side,” Rose Gakuo lamented while addressing Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana.

Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya interjected to explain that there were critical issues that the governors were discussing which caused the delay.
