Interior Ministry has deported Ali Oumarou – the proprietor of Kiza Lounge and Restaurant which is located in Nairobi’s Kilimani area.
Ali Oumarou, who comes from West African country of Niger, came to Kenya in 2014 and set up Kiza Lounge which has other branches in Canada, Nigeria and Dubai.
The Interior Ministry deported Ali Oumarou from Kenya after intelligence reports showed that he is a leader of an international criminal gang.
“His work permit had expired and we realised that he was part of an international criminal gang,” Interior Ministry’s Wangui Muchiri was quoted by Nation as saying.
The Nigerien businessman, who is a retired professional footballer, is well known in Nairobi’s social circles as he regularly hangs out with international and local celebs at his club.
