Inspekta Mwala quits Radio Citizen after 13 year stint to spend time with family

Davis Mwabili, popularly known as Inspekta Mwala, surprised his fans when he announced he was quitting Radio Citizen.

Mwala worked at Radio Citizen for 13 long years before he announced his exit from the station on December 30th 2020.

The popular presenter/actor used to co-host Radio Citizen’s morning show ‘Jambo Kenya’ alongside Vincent Ateya.

Citizen Radio, which is owned by Royal Media Service, is one of the most popular radio stations in Kenya.

“Kila la heri @inspektamwala umekuwa sehemu ya familia na daima utakuwa kutoka #JamboKenya tunakutakia mema katika maisha yako,” Radio Citizen tweeted.

According to the presenter, he was leaving on good terms with Radio Citizen management, and looking to take a break as well as spend more time with his family particularly his grandmother.

Inspekta Mwala apologizes to the family of man he killed while celebrating his son’s birthday

Mwala however did not elaborate as to whether he will continue being a member of Royal Media family. His eponymous show Inspekta Mwala airs on Citizen TV on a weekly basis.
