ICYM: Blinky Bill went to Sway in the morning and disappointed Kenyans

3 mins read

Blinky Bill who is a renowned record producer, musician and a dj went to the most sort after hip hop radio show on the planet, Sway in The Morning as hosted by Sway to represent African culture and Kenya and her music to be precise

He really disappointed us Kenyans and Kenyan musicians. Why do Kenyans hate Kenyans I wonder!

Blinky who was asked to play his mix which he had compiled earlier prior to going to the show didn’t represent Kenyan music and her musicians at all, I mean granted he played Fena Gitu’s ‘Sema Ng’we’ and his single ‘I’M Feeling It’ from Kenya alone is while he had all the opportunity in the world to put out Kenyan artistes to the world, it’s Sway in The morning after all.

Kenyans also wants to grace the show just like Kwesta, AKA, Nasty C and Cassper Nyovest did and spit some bars for Sway in the show.

We know we have talented rappers in the game today actually he already know that we have notable rap artistes like Kayvo Kforce, Prezzo, King Kaka, Octopizzo, Smallz Lethal, Nyanshinski, Khaligraph Jones, Timmy Blanco who is one half of TnT, Barak Jacuzzi heck even Vicmass LuoDollar that would have loved to have their songs played in such an international platform.

I know and I respect the fact that Blinky Bill didn’t have to play any songs from Kenyan artistes or does not owe anyone a favor to play their music on an international level but C’mon what would it have caused him to play strictly Kenyan music when he was asked to play his mix!!?

What?

Blinky Bill went on to play some American old skool songs from Busta Rhymes(not that it’s bad), Some South African music like Akanamali and other music from other artistes from different countries apart from Kenya and here he says all too well he is a Kenyan patriot.

I think it’s about time we all love each other as Nigerians, Ghanaians, South Africans, Ugandans and Tanzanians artistes love each other by supporting one another, after all no one is an island.

Blinky Bill really disappointed Kenyans with that mix, that’s probably why nobody is talking about him going to Sway in The Morning apart from Biggest Kaka.

Why don’t Kenyans support their own, it’s about time we all learn from this.

For the record I am not being bitter, ranting but am. just venting out what’s real and what’s not, if you don’t believe me, have a listen on the mix Blinky Bill compiled for the American audience in New York below
