Ian Wafula has the entire internet thinking about their next project building their next home.

The BBC Journalist, formerly working for KTN has built a beautiful, classy house that you can’t stop staring at in admiration.

He has built the house in Machakos County.

Disclosing how long it took him to build his beautiful house that has been built around an old government truck. He bought the truck from a car yard in Thika at a throw-away price and towed it to Machakos County and build it on top of it. At night, the headlights light up the compound.

The Journalist revealed that it actually took him six months to finish it completely with everything inside including the interior design.

He had earlier on planned to build a container house but later on, changed his mind, didn’t disclose why he changed his mind though the last minute.

According to Ian Wafula, the construction of his beautiful house is actually cheaper than he had anticipated it to be, he thought the house would have broken his bank account, it didn’t.

The construction was quicker and cheaper, he said.

“I initially wanted to build a container home but later decided to get a truck and build around it instead,” Wafula said.

From the outside looking in, the house looks rather small but don’t let your eyes deceive you, the house if actually beautiful inside and big as well. The house has a bedroom, a barbeque area, a staircase area, and a big screen, later on, he intends to convert the head of the truck into an office.

His compound has a small pool, just perfect and right for chilling and unwinding. It even has a place where you can chill and relax on top of the house.

Ian Wafula intends to venture into the Airbnb business thanks to his now-completed house where he will be charging a whooping KShs8,000(USD800) a night.

Wafula disclosed that his neighbors thought him to be out of his mind when they saw him building a house on top of a track revealing that one neighbor of his even offered to give him two containers in exchange for his truck which he politely declined.

“Everyone who was coming there thought I was crazy. A neighbor even offered to give me two containers to build a house in exchange for the truck,” he said.

The Internet has since been looking and admiring Ian Wafula’s house that’s exquisite, subtle, convenient, simple and classy all wrapped in one, they can’t seem to get enough of the house, but then again, who would blame them.
