Harmonize has admitted that he slipped into depression and turned to alcohol after cutting ties with the Wasafi record label in August 2019.
In his statement on Wednesday evening, Harmonize admitted that he was lost in thought after taking such a big step four years ago.
“Jameni, ulevi ulininenepesha kipindi nina stress kutoka kwenye label. Ndio kitu pekee kilinipa mawazo,” Harmonize wrote on his Instastories.
Konde Boy left the Diamond Platnumz label, WCB in 2019 to start his own music label, Konde Music Worldwide.
He said he is happy with the love and support he has received from his fans in the last four years after becoming an independent artiste.
“Mlipo nipokea na kusimama na mimi mpaka leo, sasa mimi ni tajiri kijana sio msanii tena so ukiskia nimekunywa champagne ili tu kusiaga chakula, tajiri halewi,” he said.
Harmonize shot to fame after Diamond Platnumz signed him to WCB Wasafi in 2015. However, the two clashed in 2019 when Harmonize took the step to leave the label and become an independent artiste.
Earlier this year, the Konde Music Worwide boss was reported to have sought the services of lawyers to help him sue the WCB label owned by Diamond for allegedly profiting from his sweat.
Konde Boy said WCB had collaborated with music distributors, Mziiki, to take the revenue from his music claiming it was going to Wasafi’s account instead of his own account despite his contract with Diamond’s label being terminated.
