Huddah Monroe who believes that drug abuse has taken over the globe regardless of stature or age has something to say about drug addiction and addicts wanting out from that vice.
Speaking from a point of experience, herself being a former drug abuser, she believes that there’s nobody on earth who can talk out a drug addict from curbing that vice if not themselves.
Huddah Monroe believes that it’s only the drug addicts and drug abusers themselves that can get themselves out of that rabbit hole that never ends.
“Drugs taking over the young and the old. Rich x poor. But it’s your own choice. Life’s about choices. I believe we live life by the choices we make every day,” Huddah wrote.
The outspoken socialite went on to add that it’s actually really hard to cure hard drug addiction, it’s even harder if the person involved in the vice isn’t ready to quit and reform.

Reiterating that they shouldn’t be ignored since they need all the support in the world, Huddah went ahead to explain further that these people need to make the decision themselves without any push from anyone.
“Drug addiction is a disease that’s hard to cure. You can’t force addicts to quit. You can take a person to rehab 1000 times they’ll go back to it immediately they come out. To cure addiction, it has to come from the individual him/herself. Otherwise, you are just beating a drum to deaf ears, & a never-ending running rat race,” Huddah Monroe continued.

Change needs to come directly from them because if it doesn’t, they will always bounce back to abusing drugs once they get back from rehabs even if they were to be taken to rehabilitation centres numerous times.
“They themselves need to come out say ‘I’m done. Please HELP ME’… That’s a person that’s seen how bad that [expletive] is & makes the decision.
The choice to stop! Doesn’t mean you ignore them, try help as much as you can but just know. The individual must WANT TO STOP first.” Huddah Monroe continued.
“If someone introduces you to drugs for example. You can choose to stop. And disassociate yourself. But people like to blame people for their own problems, failure and misery. Nobody owes you anything. Learn to live life knowing you are all alone! You fight any battle alone! Your husband, wife, family won’t help you out of your problems esp drugs.” she concluded.
