Tanzanian tycoon Haji Manara who is a close friend of Diamond Platnumz has revealed the main reason the Wasafi boss is afraid of marrying.
Many have been asking why Diamond has been unwilling to settle down in marriage despite being rich. At 34, the singer is a father to 4 children sired out of wedlock.
Speaking during an interview with Clouds TV, Manara disclosed that Diamond has given marriage a wide berth because of a trauma he experienced while dating an ex-girlfriend who gave him character development when he was still broke.
“Nasib [Diamond] unajua ni muoga wa kuoa. Na Nasib unajua alipata nadhani katika uvulana wake, alipigwa dafrau moja na binti, sijui hata ni binti yupi na hata sitaki kumtaja. Ilimfanya anakuwa anawaogopa kweli wanawake, hatengenezi uaminifu wa asilimia mia kwao mpaka sasa,” Manara said.
“Yaani ni ile wanawake walimpigaaa kupitiliza. Tukikaa naye ananiambia lakini siwezi kumtaja, kwa hiyo lile linamfanya kusita sana linapokuja suala zima la ndoa. Unajua ukipigwa pigo kubwa tena,” he added.
Manara stated that what happened to Diamond during his youthful years made a permanent scar in his heart and gives him doubts about getting married until now.
He added that it can take Diamond up to three hours to narrate the ordeal that he went through at the hands of the woman who broke his heart into tiny pieces.
“Akikuhadithia unaona kabisa huyu amesha athirika,” Manara said.
Diamond talked about the ordeal in his breakout song ‘Mbagala’. His girlfriend dumped him for being broke and eloped with a rich man.
While Diamond has developed cold feet about marrying, Manara himself has a habit of marrying and divorcing women like it is nothing.
