The Recording Academy took their time in celebrating Sauti Sol’s involvement on the Grammy Award-winning studio album ‘Twice As Tall’ by issuing a certificate in their honor.
The ‘Twice as Tall’ studio album was nominated in the ‘Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album’ category, it won in the same category at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards.
Sauti Sol who got featured on the ‘Time Flies’ hit record in the studio album that was released officially on 14th August 2020 is among the top producers listed in the studio album.
The afro-pop boy band comprising of Bien-Aimé Baraza, Savara Mudigi, Willis Austin Chimano, and Polycarp Otieno is listed and recognized by the Recording Academy(Grammy) for being producer thus the certificate.
“The Recording Academy presents this certificate to Sauti Sol in recognition of your participation as Producer on the Grammy Award-Winning Recording “Twice As Tall” by Burna Boy,” the statement read in part.
This marks Sauti Sol’s first recognition by the Grammy Academy for their contribution to a Grammy Award-winning music compilation which is an unprecedented feat in the East and Central African music scene as we know it.
Sharing this achievement and accolade on their social media, Sauti Sol didn’t accompany the certificate with any witty caption, they left it to their fans to come up with a caption they deemed worthy for such an accomplishment.
Congratulations are in order to Sauti Sol for the Grammy Academy recognizing the group.
