Godfather of Luo music Wuod Fibi set to headline a show in Germany with Koffi Mac Adory

The Kenyan music industry is becoming super competitive and interesting by the minute and am

not even talking about the mainstream hip hop genre or even R&B, am talking the Luo Rhumba music which has seen talented artistes coming up taking the genre to the next level.

The best thing about Luo music is that as much as it is written and sang in the Dholuo dialect, every other person on God’s good green earth could dance to it and relate to it even if you don’t understand whatever it is the artiste is saying on the song, just the way most Rhumba lovers do with Lingala music.

The Godfather of Luo music generally, that’s both Ohangla and Rhumba, Engineer Wuod Fibi real name John Eric Okumu has had a hand in almost all the Luo songs you have listened to in the past decade, some he has worked on as collaborations projects while other he produced them at his Barikiwa Studios.

Wuod Fibi who has worked with Johnny Junior, Bandason, Osogo Winyo, Emma Jalamo, Dola Kabary, Otieno Small, Osito Kale, Musa Jakadalla, Prince Indah, Elishs Mtoto Wa Shule, Lady Maureen, Tony Ndiema, Abenny Jachiga, Atieno Aloka, Javan mac Ajudo, Ochinjo Jaraha, Boss Wuod Nyasembo among others.

Engineer Wuod Fibi is an established record producer as he is an artiste and Germany in the city of Hanover in Germany come November 16th which will see him perform with Barikiwa Studio first artiste Koffi Mac Adory in a festival dubbed ‘Diaspora Ramogi Festival’ and later on perform in Sweden.

Wuod Fibi has in the past perform in Dallas and Houston, Texas. New Jersey, and Maryland,. In London, he went to perform with Musa Jakadalla and Igwe Bandason in 2018, Easter Weekend.
