Enock Bella, of the defunct Yamoto band that comprised Mbosso, Aslay and Beka Flavour, found a safe haven in Kenya after the music group disintegrated.
Of the five members of the defunct Yamoto Band, Mbosso is arguably the most successful followed by Aslay.
After the group split, each musician went on to pursue their individual careers with Enock Bella and Beka Flavour struggling to find a footing.
Enock Bella has narrated how he found himself in Kenya after the band broke up several years ago and everyone went their separate ways.
In a press conference, Bella said that he and Mbosso were the last people to leave the group after Aslay and Beka Flavor left.
After being left alone, Enock and Mbosso made a vow to remain together and help each other.
But when Mbosso got a chance to join Wasafi, Enock was left alone which made him feel like Mbosso had betrayed their vow to some extent.
Enock Bella said.
But Enock also did not blame Mbosso for failing to join Wasafi with him. He understood that Mbosso had no say over who joins the prestigious music label owned by Diamond Platnumz.
When Mbosso joined Wasafi, Enock was left alone and had to start fighting for space in the music industry in Tanzania.
He opted to relocate to Kenya on seeing his music career was going down the drain in Tanzania.
Kila mtu mbona nikimfuata buana vipi ananisukuma, ngoja tutaongea,” Enock said.
In Kenya it was not all rosy at first when he landed in Mombasa but later he found a good Samaritan who advised him to move to Nairobi where he said things got better.
“Baada ya kufika Nairobi ndio ikawa nafasi yangu kubwa, nikafanya mambo mengi, mahojiano makubwa na inanipaisha hadi nikaanza kufanya video nikaona eeh sasa afadhali,” Enock said.
