Everybody was shocked to hear the news of Mama Lucy Kibaki’s passing and everybody sent their condolences to the whole country.
Despite her passing in the United States’ hospital, her body was not released not until early this morning when it arrived in the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to receive a proper state burial where president Uhuru Kenyatta went to receive the body and left a touching message in honor of the former First Lady Lucy Kibaki and promised a three days morning in her honor.
“Early this morning received the body of Former First Lady, Her excellency, Mrs. Lucy Kibaki at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Three days of national mourning starts today as flags fly at half-mast in honor of Mama Lucy Kibaki,” said the President Uhuru Kenyatta
