Fena Gitu dropped sophomore album ‘Unleashed’ with unprecedented class

5 mins read

Fena Gitu has went on to prove to the naysayers that she’s on her own level, nobody comes close to her level of making and creating international level kind of music, the best part of it, she does it seamlessly.

The last time we got a project from the talented rapper was back in 2014 as she dropped her debut project dubbed ‘Fenamenon’ which had four features and had five artistes on the project on the 15 track album.

The last project by Fena Gitu which had a couple of hit records like ‘Jabulani’ and ‘Dutch’ just to name a few introduced her to the rap game as a serious player in the music industry today but with her latest project dubbed ‘Unleashed’ it’s a whole new level of rap’s greatness.

If there’s a project that might put Fena Gitu on the international status as a serious, versatile artiste in the super competitive genre, it’s most certainly this album ‘Unleashed’ which is her sophomore studio album after a couple of years without putting out project/s.

Fena Gitu has most certainly owned pretty much all genres on the ‘Unleashed’ project save for the new genre in the country, Gengetone.

Fena Gitu’s versatility on this project is admirable since she sings, raps and even has somewhat a Reggae record on the project on the ‘Save the World’ single which makes the project even more interesting, versatile, and a must-have project thus far.

What makes the project stand out even more is the fact that she has done it alone this time round, yes! there are no features at all on this project, it’s only Fena Gitu on the entire 15 track project which is somewhat a precedence set for being the first Kenyan female rapper to put a complete album out without any features at all.

It’s only on two records ‘Sema Ng’we Remix’ that has adlibs from Punit’s Gabu who was originally featured on the original song to begin with while on the record ‘Sijaskia Vibaya’ has comedian Njugush on the adlibs as well. There’s no features on the ‘Unleashed’ album.
