On the 14th of February, which was this past Tuesday, Femi One, a rapper and AFRIMMA best femcee, launched The One For One Foundation with a mentorship event at her former primary school, Murema Primary in Mwiki, Kasarani.
The event was held in partnership with Better4Kenya and Kasha Kenya, and it was a fun-filled and inspiring afternoon for upper primary students.
As part of the initiative, 3,060 sanitary towels were distributed to the female students in the upper primary level, ensuring they are catered for this term.
Fellow musician Trio Mio also joined Femi One to engage with the young boys and educate them on their role in the growing community.
Femi One spoke about The One For One Foundation during the event.
She expressed her vision to empower young people in Kenya through education and mentorship, with a particular focus on girls.
Femi One emphasized the importance of giving back to the community and encouraged the students to work hard and pursue their dreams.
The launch of The One For One Foundation was a huge success and received positive feedback from the students and teachers at Murema Primary.
Femi One and her partners, Better4Kenya and Kasha Kenya, are committed to continuing their efforts to improve access to education and mentorship for young people in Kenya.
Through this initiative, Femi One and her team are demonstrating the power of music and community involvement in creating positive change.
They hope to inspire others to join them in making a difference in the lives of young people across the country.
