Rashid Echesa in more trouble after he’s exposed for defrauding a widow from Kisumu

Rashid Echesa who was earlier on arrested yesterday in his Karen house by DCI sleuths is allegedly in more trouble.

As revealed by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) through their official social media page/s, as it turns out, he is even in more trouble.

Rashid Echesa is currently being held by the proper authorities over fraud charges in connection to the Ksh. 39 billion fake arms tender scandal.

The former Sports Cabinet Secretary was arrested by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Economic Crime Unit in the afternoon of 1, March 2020.

Echesa who is a close confidant of the office of Deputy President, William Ruto may be facing other charges especially after a widow(who will remain anonymous) from Kisumu came forward to the DCI and exposed him even more.

According to the information shared by the DCI, Former CS Rashid Echesa fraudulently transferred to his possession three motor vehicles owned by the husband of the woman who came forward to expose Echesa.

The aforementioned husband is late.

Rashid Echesa transferred ownership of a Passat KAY 388A, KBZ 009J, Toyota LandCrusider V8 and KBN 242N Toyota Mark X in 2016.

The numerous vehicles the DCI SCU Detectives found in Rashid Echesa’s Karen home

The DCI SCU Detectives carried investigations at the former Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa’s home in Karen and found some other expensive motor vehicles in the compound.

The motor vehicles they found in his Karen home are;

1. KCW 289Q Toyota LandCruiser V8,
2. KCL 350J Mercedes Benz,
3. KAY 388A Volkswagon Passat,
4. KBP 725B Ford Ranger,
5. Lexus with no Reg Number,

The Detectives also found front and rear number plates (KBS 388F).

a huge amount of cash found

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations sleuths also found a huge sum of money, in cash totaling 507,000 at the front seat of the KCL 350J Mercedes Benz.

Currently, all the motor vehicles have been taken by the National Transport and Safety Authority(NTSA) officers for verification as further investigations into Rashid Echesa’s allegations continue.
