Ethic who are arguably regarded as godfathers of the Gengetone genre in the country had nothing great to say about Octopizzo at all.

“Ethic revolutionized the Kenyan music scene at a time when Kenyans didn’t have an authentic sound they could connect and vibe and dance to.” One of Ethic’s tweet reads in part. “Introduced a whole new genre of music that captures a lot of Kenyan culture in it. Hate us or love us that will go down in History.”

The controversial yet popular Gengetone group through their Twitter account called out Kibera born and bred rapper Octopizzo for refusing to work with them on their yet-to-be-released project expected later on this month.

According to Ethic, Octopizzo who has already worked with yet another Gengetone genre, Sailors on his ‘Wakiritho’ hit song turned down the opportunity to work with Ethic on their album and Ethic are not amused.

Ethic Entertainment which comprises of Swat, Seska, Zilla, and Rekless took to Twitter calling out Octopizzo for refusing to be a part of their 8-track ‘Big Man Bado Odinare’ project expected on June 13th even though Khaligraph Jones is a part of the same.

Bridget Achieng lines up Fena Gitu, Ethic, Boondocks, Sailors for her inaugural Nai-Fest

“We gave Octopizzo the privilege to be on our super dope album but hakuona vision, truth ni numbers ziko but angekuja tu na za mathogothanio zake,” the offensive tweet read in part, “video for the song wasn’t part of the plan”

Ethic also went on to say that Khaligraph Jones is way greater than Octopizzo by far according to them.

Khaligraph Jones features on their debut album.

On their debut album dubbed ‘Big Man Bado Odinare’ expected on June 13th, Ethic features only Khaligraph Jones on the 8-track project. Below are the official tracklist of the album

1. Zigizaga
2. Gwara
3. Staga
4. Sakata
6. Banana
7. Idinare
