Award-winning comedian Eric Omondi shared a clip of himself together with the Kenyan Tourism Cabinet Secretary(CS) Najib Balala on social media.
Without disclosing anything and/or any information of what the meeting was all about on the video that he shared online, the comedian gave the impression that he was in agreement with the Tourism CS after meeting him up in his office.
A few weeks ago, Najib Balala was called out on social media after the CS appointed the internationally acclaimed British supermodel Naomi Campbell was announced as the Magical Kenya International Tourism Ambassador.
The appointment of Naomi Campbell stirred a lot of reactions from Kenyans on social media with some expressing displeasure on the matter asking why Lupita Nyong’o or any other Kenyan celebrity wasn’t given that opportunity to represent Kenya.
A lot of celebrities of course had something to say about Naomi Campbell’s appointment by the Tourism CS among them Eric Omondi.
A few days ago, the comedian who wrote, “Magical Kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪” on social media after posting a video of himself with Najib Balala in his office while Eric Wainaina’s hit song ‘Daima Mimi Mkenya’ playing on the background went on record to say that he was in talks with the CS to replace Naomi Campbell as a tourism ambassador was called out to be a liar by the CS.

Prior to the meeting, Najib Balala said that the comedian was lying about being in talks with him to have him as a tourism ambassador saying that the only thing he knows of was an official email from Eric Omondi to him requesting for a meeting.
“Yes I have seen an email he sent to my office requesting for a meeting but he did not specify what the meeting was about.
I receive hundreds of emails from people requesting to be Tourism Ambassadors,” said Balala.
Eric Omondi’s request was finally granted after he got to have a sitdown conversation with the Tourism CS, Najib Balala, and thereafter shared a video of them together to share with his fans on social media.
The award-winning comedian hasn’t to this date talked about what the meeting was all about, I guess we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds in regard to the meeting.
