Diamond Platnumz caused a stir when he was seen going down his knee to propose to Ghanaian TV host Peace Hyde.
In a viral video on social media, Diamond is seen going down on his knee at a parking lot before he pulls out an engagement ring to surprise Peace Hyde.
The Ghanaian TV host appeared to be totally surprised by the marriage proposal. She nonetheless handed over her hand to Diamond who slid the engagement onto her finger.
However, not everybody fell for Diamond’s marriage proposal to Peace Hyde.
The singer’s move to ask for Hyde’s hand in marriage was scripted and is part of the Netflix reality show ‘Young, Famous and African’.
A while back, Diamond pulled a similar stunt when he was purportedly involved in another romantic prank with Ghanaian musician Francine Koffie aka Fantana.
Diamond and Fantana passionately kissed each other before the Wasafi boss declared that it was the best kiss he had ever had in his life.
The Bongo singer opened up about the best kiss he has ever gotten while speaking on May 19, 2023, during the premiere of season 2 of the Netflix reality series Young, Famous & African.
“I thought I was the best at kissing, until I kissed Fantana,” Diamond said about the kissing incident.
He noted that Fantana’s kiss was more than a kiss.
“She wasn’t kissing me, she was eating me!” he said.
