Former Diamond Platnumz photographer turned Bongo Flava artist, Lukamba, has opened up about the distress caused by the leak of intimate videos online, highlighting the impact on himself and his family.
In an interview with Bongo FM, Lukamba revealed how the circulation of these explicit videos reached his family, particularly affecting his mother.
Lukamba recounted how his mother approached him after hearing about the videos, expressing a desire to see them despite his reluctance. Lukamba explained to her that such content was a means of income for young people, but he urged his mother not to indulge in it.
“The effect has been considerable, especially with my mother. She contacted me and mentioned hearing about a leaked clip from Mange Kimambi. I advised my mother not to watch it. They surprised me with that clip, and I insisted that she should completely ignore it,” Lukamba explained.
Despite the initial curiosity, Lukamba’s mother respected his wishes and refrained from watching the videos. Lukamba emphasized that his mother is a supportive listener, and once he conveyed his discomfort, she complied.
“My wonderful mother is very attentive to my concerns. After our conversation, she said, ‘Okay then.’ I told her, ‘Mom, even if they bring it to you, don’t watch it. It’s just normal things, you know how young people navigate life,'” Lukamba shared.
Lukamba attributed the leaked videos to his ex-boyfriend and described the incident as a deliberate attempt to undermine his reputation within society.
“Sometimes, individuals weaponize such content to tarnish someone’s image. However, I have been transparent with my family about my mistakes, and they have been understanding. I am grateful to God for their support because this situation has been a significant burden, especially for my family,” Lukamba acknowledged.
Despite the challenges caused by the leaked videos, Lukamba expressed gratitude for his family’s understanding and support during this difficult time. He emphasized the importance of transparency and communication in navigating such personal struggles.
