The dispute between Diamond and Alikiba is gaining steam on the internet as Simba now wants his rival to bite his tongue about giving advice to him on how to make music.
Diamond has been proud of how his song ‘My Baby’ featuring Chike which is doing well, especially in Nigeria, a country that is said to be the stronghold of new-generation music in Africa.
Following the success of his song, Diamond asked Alikiba – although he did not mention him directly – to be completely silent when he sees him release a new song because he has his own plan and knows what he is doing.
Diamond bragged saying that he doesn’t just rush to release music, but he has his own plan and strategies that he considers before releasing a new jam.
“Unapoona nimetoa ngoma yoyote, funga mdomo, maana sikurupuki, naachia ngoma kwa mkakati maalum,” Diamond shouted.
Last week, Alikiba strongly criticized Diamond for the way he performed his song with Jux ‘Enjoy’, saying that the artiste is degrading Bongo Flava music for what he called the theft of the works of art of Nigerian artists.
Diamond was heavily criticized because it was said that he took some of the beats of the songs of Nigerian artists.
West African blogs attacked him and even mentioned no less than five songs of their artists that had similarities in terms of rhythm with Diamonds’ songs.
But Spyro, the artist whose song was allegedly sampled by Diamond, came out to silence critics saying that no one is an island in the world to the extent that they can do something alone without getting the cooperation of others.
He asked them to let Diamond breathe and not give him unnecessary pressure that he steals other artists’ beats.
