Diamond Platnumz opened up about his plan to retire after he returned to Tanzania from Nairobi, Kenya where he performed at the Octobafest in Ngong Racecourse on October 28, 2023.

The Wasafi boss performed in Nairobi at the Octobafest on Saturday night before leaving directly for Kahama town on Sunday morning aboard a private jet.

Diamond touched down at Kahama airport on Sunday morning ahead of Wasafi festival on the night of October 29, 2023.

Speaking to bloggers at Kahama airport, Diamond opened up about his plan to retire from music.

The artiste said he is making sure he is using his time now so that in the future he can relax like American hip-hop great Jay Z who is currently reaping from what he invested in music in the past.

“Unapopata muda wako utumie vizuri. Mungu amekupa wakati, usimfanye akaona kwamba kampa wakati mtu asiyestahili. Mfanye Mungu awe proud aone kwamba amekupa nafasi na wewe umeitumia vizuri, utendee haki, husisha watu. Lakini yaani nafasi hiyo itumie kwa namna chanya as much as you can,” Diamond said.

“Utafika muda nitapumzika nita rest. Sitaimba muziki milele, kuna muda nataka tu nitulie nifurahie matunda yangu kama Jay Z. sasa hiki kipindi cha kumalizia kukusanya nakusanya kwelikweli,” he added.
