Diamond Platnumz bared his heart to his fans in a recent performance, revealing the tumultuous state of his relationship with his partner, Zuchu.
Speaking directly to the audience from the stage, Diamond shared his inner turmoil, expressing uncertainty about the status of his relationship with the “Honey” songstress.
In a moment of vulnerability, Diamond admitted to feeling lost, disclosing that he had recently left home and was grappling with unresolved issues with Zuchu, also known as Zuhura Othman.
He described the atmosphere at home as chaotic and bewildering, unsure whether their love was still intact or if he had been left behind.
Seeking comfort and solidarity from his audience, Diamond humbly asked for their prayers during this uncertain period.
“Mapenzi yana mikasa mingi sana. Hivi ndugu zangu ninavyowaambia siku ya leo ninavoongea na nyie, nimetoka sijui kuachwa hata sielewi. Yaani huko nyumbani kwangu kumetokea kisanga cha ajabu. Mtafaruku usio na kichwa wala miguu. Sijui nimeachwa ama penzi linaendelea. Mniweke kwenye maombi (Love has many trials. As I speak to you today, I have come from home not knowing whether I have been left or if our love still endures. A strange occurrence has unfolded at my house. A situation so perplexing and incomprehensible. I don’t know if I’ve been abandoned or if love still persists. Please keep me in your prayers),” Diamond confided to his fans.
Zuchu’s departure followed Diamond’s reunion with his first love, Sarah, during a recent performance.
In a poignant revelation, Diamond credited Sarah with profoundly influencing his music career, particularly citing her as the inspiration behind his breakout hit ‘Kamwambie,’ which propelled him to stardom.
“This song represents my real-life experiences. I tried singing it, but every attempt seemed futile. Little did I know, I hadn’t reached a certain threshold; I had to experience pain. And there’s this one lady I love so much, and today I saw her here,” Diamond shared as he invited Sarah to join him on stage.
Diamond and Sarah shared a passionate embrace on stage.
“This is Sarah, fifteen years ago, I sang her this song ‘Kamuambie’ because I loved her dearly. When I left my home in Tandale, seeing her made me feel like I was seeing Beyoncé. She inspired me with her actions, leading me to write this song. What I wrote in this song, I wrote because of her,” Diamond explained.
Confirming Zuchu’s departure, Diamond’s sister, Esma Platnumz, revealed that Zuchu had left, taking all her belongings with her, including her toothbrush.
In an interview with Wasafi FM, Esma recounted the events, stating, “She took everything, including her toothbrush. My mother also pleaded with her not to leave, but she did.”
“She said she is not returning. She is ignoring Diamond’s phone calls and is extremely upset. She made it clear she won’t come back even if it means risking her life,” Esma added.
Offering some advice to Zuchu on navigating her relationship with Diamond, Esma emphasized the need to understand Diamond’s unique personality and the dynamics of their love.
