Wasafi Diamond Platnumz has for the first time publicly spoken about Rayvanny’s exit from his record label, admitting that they had a very bold conversation and even disagreed with him strongly.
Diamond opened up during an interview on the Acces platform that brought together stakeholders in music and art.
The Wasafi boss was among the speakers and when he was talking about networking opportunities, he touched on Rayvanny.
He said that although they disagreed, later they straightened things out and friendship was restored.
He made it clear that he feels very proud because even after leaving WCB, Rayvanny was still on top of his game – citing his recent win at the Afrimma award gala where Vanny Boy was feted as the best male musician from the East African region.
Diamond further noted that he felt proud after Rayvanny featured him in his first hit since leaving WCB, ‘Nitongoze’ which is doing well on digital platforms around the world.
“Rayvanny kama mnavyojua alindoka WCB namshukuru Mungu ananiheshimu, tulitofautiana kidogo kama unavyojua mnapoachana kunakuwa na vitu wakati mwingine inaweza visiende sawa lakini namshukuru Mungu tulimaliza vizuri. Kama unaona ameenda WCB anafanya kazi Next Level anafanya kazi na Mziki na wimbo wake wa kwanza amenishirikisha mimi.
(Rayvanny, as you know, left WCB, thank God he respects me, we had a little difference as you know when you break up there are things sometimes that may not go well but thank God we ended well. As you can see he has gone to WCB, he is working at Next Level, he is working and his first song has me involved.) ” said Diamond Platnumz.
