One Kenyan rapper, Hozef is also following these steps of being one of the sorts after conscious rappers in the game today coming from the school of Zakah, Uko Flani, Kalamashaka, and K-South.

“I am an upcoming rapper from Nairobi, Kenya. I mainly do conscious Hip Hop music as a result of growing up listening to the likes of Ukoo Flani, K-Shaka, and K south, who played a big in inspiring me musically and also due to my humble background.

The song in question, Nai City, is the lead single to my debut mixtape titled, ‘Know Shillings’ and features another upcoming artiste, Xetra.

Together, we talk about the many issues; socio-economic, political, and the day to day life activities that are experienced by the city’s residents.

The song has gained airplay on major radio stations in the country since its release mid last year.
