Coca-Cola world cup anthem becomes a household record 9 days to the kickoff

9 days to go as Kenyans alongside the world are psyched up for the much anticipate FIFA world cup.

This year’s tournament will be hosted in Russia where 32 nations will battle it out for the much coveted FIFA world cup trophy. The teams are in 8 groups of 4 teams each.

Jason Derulo’s new Coca Cola anthem ‘Colors’ has become a new hit in households and has turned into an anthem. The song almost has 30 million views on YouTube is very captivating and danceable.

The anthem celebrates all nations of the world, with their national flags showcased in the video showing fans celebrating with excitement and passion.

The FIFA world cup trophy is made of 18 carat gold, weighing 6.1 kilograms with a malachite base and 36.8 cm high. The current trophy with is the second trophy of the competition has been in existence since 1974.

The tournament was first held in 1930 in Uruguay where the hosts won by beating Argentina 4-2 on post match penalties.

The first match will see the hosts Russia face Saudi Arabia on 14th July at 18:00 East African Time.

Despite having a disastrous run in 2014 which they hosted, Brazil are still among the favorites to win the trophy having won the most times more than any other country

Other counties that are favorites for the trophy include Germany, Belgium, England and Argentina.

The countries representing Africa are Egypt, Senegal, Morocco, Nigeria and Tunisia

The final match where the winner will be crowned will be on 15 July at 18:00 east African time.

It’s all systems go and many football fanatics have geared up for the tournament some have already bought the jerseys of their favorite.
