Christina Shusho deletes post inviting Rachel Ruto to her concert after backlash

Christina Shusho faced a backlash from Kenyans who petitioned her to perform in the country after she invited First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto to her concert.

The Tanzanian gospel singer was forced to delete her post on X where she tagged and publicly invited  Rachel Ruto to her concert.

In her post, Shusho invited the First Lady to grace the concert in Nairobi on December 31, 2023.

“Namkaribisha sasa @MamaRachelRuto,” she wrote.

Her post attracted furious reactions from Kenyans who are frustrated by president Ruto’s administration which has burdened Kenyans with taxation causing the cost of living to shoot up.

Angry Kenyan roasted Shusho prompting her to delete the post inviting Rachel Ruto to her concert.

Christina Shusho is set to perform in Kenya following an online appeal by her fans in the country that compel her to hold a gig in 254.

Several Kenyans including celebrities like Robert Burale launched an online appeal to plead with Christina Shusho to heed to the cries of her fans in Kenya.

The Tanzanian gospel singer ultimately told her Kenyan fans that she heard their pleas and that she was working with Churchill to organize a show in Kenya.

“Due to increasing demands for a concert in Kenya my team and I are working with @MwalimChurchill to have a concert on the 31st December 2023,” Christina Shusho announced on November 27, 2023.

 

Hours after her announcement, Christina Shusho actually confirmed her Kenyan show.

The Tanzanian singer revealed that she will be performing in Kenya on the night of December 30, 2023 to usher in the new year 2024.

“Ahsanteni kwa upendo. Ntafika Nairobi for overnight 31.12.2023 cc @MwalimChurchill @NRGRadioKenya,” Christina Shusho wrote.
