Cassper Nyovest finally landed a signature sneaker deal that already got everybody excited everywhere.
The ‘Siyathandana’ hitmaker launched his brand new sneakers collab dubbed Root Of Fame that comes in four colorways. It comes in Black Salmon, Grey Wolfs, Triple Black Excellence, Triple White, Off White.
The Root of Fame 900 sneakers are a collaboration between Mafikeng’s very own Cassper Nyovest’s company Family Tree and Drip sneakers. The sneakers are exclusively getting delivered for free to all Gauteng residents.
Disclosing why he decided to name his signature sneakers 990, he explained that the 990 signifies the year he was born and removing the 1 in the “1990” because he is the “one”.

The sneakers have already gained a lot of buzz in and out of South Africa with fans and sneakerheads constantly crashing the website; dripsa.co.za(where you can buy yourself a pair of the sneakers) because of huge traffic generated with online buyers.
The shoes will be available in stores on the 16th of July 2021

Taking to social media, Cassper Nyovest expressed his gratitude to everyone who believed in him with coming up with his own signature sneaker brand just like his close friend Somizi did a few months ago.

Above everything else, he’s humbled by the huge support he’s been getting from everyone across Mzansi.
“Dreams come true. I am a young boy from Mafikeng and I never thought I would be able to help design a shoe and put my name on it one day.
I never thought that it would be produced by a local footwear brand that has its own distribution plant meaning that we don’t have to sell from the boot.
The shoe is selling out quickly and I would like to say thank you to firstly @dripfootwearsa for the opportunity but most importantly the fans for supporting @rootoffame so passionately.
