I believe it’s about time Kenyans begins to appreciate our talent in regard to Kenyan rappers and hip hop as a culture and as a industry that is possible to change our youth’s mind because believe it or not, hip hop has saved lives and it’s not only in South Africa but across the globe.
As earlier reported by Afro Muziki, Cassper Nyovest recently opened up to admit that this is the first time in South African history that hip hop is making money regardless of how many artistes of the genre are coming up and/or how many rappers are in the game today.
In South Africa alone, there are many different rappers in the country who are successful in rap and hip hop than any other country in the Africa. To put it out there clearly and bluntly, it’s only in South Africa alone as an African country that has many successful rappers at the same time in the genre of hip hop.
In South Africa they have internationally acclaimed rappers who are successful at the same time and making money, good money I must reiterate in that manner in the booming South African hip hop’s industry.
For instance, there are rappers like Nasty C, Anatii, L-Tido, Kwesta, Stogie T, Cassper Nyovest, Nadia Nakai, A-Reece, Gemini Major, Riky Rick, AKA, Boity, Zoocci Coke Dope, Flame, Da L.E.S, Reason, Emtee, and Zingah just to mention a few who are reaping the fruits of South African booming hip hop’s economy.

Cassper Nyovest who recently became the face and the brand ambassador for Samsung took time to answer a fan who asked him if South African rappers are making money in today’s music industry and he answered the fan with facts after another one by saying that South African hip hop’s economy is booming and he’s happy every rapper out there are getting their daily bread from the culture that has since become a successful business venture.
Answering this question asked by @JnzBeats on Twitter; Do rappers who are not in the mainstream like u make good money though?
Cassper Nyovest answered the posed question with fact saying: “No but they make better money than the up and coming rappers from any era in SA hip hop. The hip hop economy is booming. Don’t be fooled by Twitter chats. Never been a time where there was such a variety of hip hop artists in our country. We doing well.”
