Caroline Imenza, wife who tried to sneak bhang to husband at Gilgil police station

Caroline Imenza is the woman of the moment after she tried to sneak in bhang at Gilgil police station.

After her carefully thought-out scheme was foiled by hawk-eyed policemen staffing the station’s report office, Caroline Imenza’s attempt to smuggle marijuana to a suspect held in police custody at Gilgil police station ended in uncharted waters of regret.

The fearless 30-year-old Caroline Imenza had entered the Gilgil Police Station a few minutes after six in the morning and asked to see her husband, Stephen Nyabuto, who was a visitor of the state there.

The soft-spoken Imenza had brought a loaf of bread and a flask of hot tea to give to her husband for breakfast.

She gave the impression of being a good wife, and her acts seemed beyond question.

But despite the woman’s approach, the female officer on duty at the report office desk seemed suspicious.

When she opened the loaf of bread, she initially discovered a steep gorge typical of modern loaves of bread but later discovered five rolls of marijuana, five cigarettes, and a matchbox.

The officer detained Imenza right away and took her to a private room designated for situations involving gender, where she thoroughly searched the suspect’s body.

Her efforts paid off when she found an additional 80 rolls of the herb discreetly tucked away in the suspect’s underwear!

The suspect’s attempts to buy the cops’ cooperation by offering them Sh2,000 in exchange for their release met with resistance and an extra charge.

The suspect is currently being held at Gilgil Police Station for arraignment tomorrow morning.
