Burna Boy who today is more than an African artiste but an African giant who is known across the globe thanks to his super successful album ‘Africa Giant’ that has seen him achieve accolades upon accolades with almost every record in the project.

Burna Boy got the highlight of his career after he received his first-ever Grammy nomination for Grammy Award for Best World Music Album category that he lost to yet another talented, deserving, appreciated and respected Beninian African goddess of music, Angélique Kidjo.

Almost everybody in the world thought Burna Boy was going to win in that category, even Burna Boy believed the same.

That being said, the Nigerian who isn’t afraid to voice his opinion without any fear of reprisal took to Twitter to finally address how he felt after he lost the coveted Grammy to Angélique Kidjo.

“Sick. Totally sick. But my musical Mother Angélique Kidjo told me everything I needed to understand about the Grammys.” he said, answering to an answer a fan posed to him asking him about his sentiments about not winning and bringing home the award. “So now I’m “Twice as Tall” (that’s the name of my next Album by the way dropping in July by the grace of the most High)”

Burna Boy still considers himself the winner in numerous things in life and still continues to count the blessings that have seen him dominate the music industry not only in his home country, Nigeria and the entire African continent but globally.

He is in the same leagues as fellow countrymen, Davido and Wizkid currently.
