The 2019 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA) gala was held this past Sunday November 3rd in Seville, Spain. Nigerian singer Burna Boy emerged as the best African musician.

Burna Boy managed to beat competition from his compatriot singer Teni, Tanzania’s Harmonize, South African rapper Nasty C and Prince Kaybee and music group Toofan from Togo to win MTV EMA for Best Africa Act.
