Christian Longomba, one-half member of the famed music duo ‘Longombas’ is dead.
His brother, Lovy Longomba who is now a prophet known everywhere as Prophet Lovy confirmed this on social media.
Lovy took to social media to confirm about the sudden death of his brother who together was the formidable members of the Longombas who were one of the best musicians in Kenya
“To be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord. I love you Christian, My brother, my friend & partner but Jesus loves you more. Enjoy Heaven.” Lovy Longomba shared on social media.
Lovy Longomba hasn’t disclosed any other information surrounding the cause of his brother’s death.
As a group, the Longombas duo released a lot of hit records like, ‘Piga Makofi’, ‘Vuta Pumz’, ‘Usini Hande’, ‘Dondosa’, ‘Chukua’, and ‘Shika More’.
A few years ago, back in 2015, Christian Longomba underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor after suffering a seizure on May 18th 2015. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with falx and parasagittal meningiomas.
According to Lovy Longomba, neurosurgeons discovered a large tumor close to his sinuses.
“The doctors, after thorough tests, explained that the tumor had covered part of his parietal lobe and was mostly on the frontal lobe. After receiving his diagnosis, Christian launched into perhaps his most challenging endeavor – starting his journey in the treatment of his brain tumor,” said Lovy.
It took a few days over a fortnight for the numerous hitmaker to start the surgical process, and he finally went under the knife on May 29th, 2015.
Though the surgery was successful, Christian had to undergo a second operation after doctors found blood clots in his brain.
