Celebrated Tanzanian songbird Ruby has revealed that the first person she will send her wedding invitation card to will be her ex-boyfriend.
Speaking during an interview on EFM radio station on the Uhondo program, Ruby explained in detail why the first person to give her a wedding card will be her ex-boyfriend, that is Ex.
“Ikitokea sasa baba mtoto wako ndio arusi anakuoa, Ex wako unaweza ukampa kadi ya harusi akaja kuhudhuria?” mtangazaji alimuuliza swali la chokoza. (If it happens now that your child’s father is the bridegroom marrying you, can your ex give him a wedding card and come to attend?” Radio presenter asked Ruby.
To which she replied;
“Huyo ndio atakuwa wa kwanza. Niseme tu kwamba, katika kadi ambazo nitazisambaza za Mualiko kwa watu kuja kwenye Harusi yangu, Ex wangu atakuwa mtu wa kwanza kuipata ili aje tu ashuhudie wala si kwamba nitampa mwaliko kwa bifu au nini, ni kumualika tu aje kushuhudia ninavyoolewa.
(“He will be the first. Let me just say that, in the invitation cards that I will distribute to people to come to my wedding, my ex will be the first person to get it so that he can come to witness it, not that I will give him an invitation to provoke him or anything, I just invite him to come and witness me getting married).”
Ruby made it clear a few days ago that she has a boyfriend and they are very much in love, but she was too shy to introduce him on social media.
She said that her lover is an ordinary person and not an artist at all, promising that when the time comes, people will see him.
“Yeye ni mtu tu wa kawaida, ana biashara yake na kazi yake ni tofauti kabisa na yangu. (He is just an ordinary person, he has his own business and his work is completely different from mine),” Ruby said.
