Bobi Wine has people talking about him across the East African community especially. This is right after he released his newest song dubbed ‘Ogenda’ that criticizes President Yoweri Museveni’s reign and castigates his leadership.

Bobi Wine whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu didn’t have any words to spare at all on his latest record that made precedence in the Republic of Uganda becoming the first mainstream artiste and a former Member of Parliament to publicly call out a sitting President without any fear whatsoever.

The singer vied for the recent Presidential elections where he believed he was robbed of a flawless victory. Bobi Wine has shared numerous times that the elections were rigged in the favor of the sitting President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who has been in power since 29th January 1986.

Sharing the song on his social media handles, Bobi Wine who is the Party leader of the National Unity Platform introduced his song by writing, “My new song #Ogenda sent directly to #DictatorMuseveni @ #EntebbeEnzibe”

He went further to explain a little bit about the inspiration of the song ‘Ogenda’ on YouTube as he explained himself on the description box.

“OGENDA is another one of the many revolutionary songs by Bobi Wine. It shows some of the atrocities being committed on the people of Uganda by Gen. Museveni’s Military Regime.” he wrote in part.

The entire song is quotable and it has a lot of people talking about it. The song has sparked an online reaction because of the lyrics that are bold. This song has people talking from everywhere, especially those who have watched the music video.

“What brought me today dear listeners, I’m inspired by the words of late artiste Ssebaduka(Christopher), his last words to Idi Amin in the late 1970s before he was overthrown.

I am here to speak to Dictator Museveni and his men because of the atrocities they have committed on us, you have oppressed this land to the maximum and plundered our nation without shame.

You lied to the people who you led to war, you promised them freedom and democracy, you promised to chase away elections thieves, you requested them for their children to join you in the bush war, they gave in their children to join you in the bush war, and many even died there,” is a few words that Bobi Wine sings in the ‘Ogenda’ song.

“The video is based on true events that have happened in the recent past. It highlights the continuing human rights violations, lawlessness, and abuse of democracy,” Bobi Wine shared on YouTube explaining the video’s excerpts used in the music video.
