Former Starehe MP-cum- Jesus is Alive Ministries’ bishop Margaret Wanjiru, last Sunday met a number of Kikuyu to show them solidity in the MCSK saga.
Music Copy Right Society of Kenya (MCSK) has been embroiled in a vicious tussle with musicians of revenue distributions.
Musicians claims MSCK has been conning them by giving them peanuts as revenues when they expected a lot.
Ms Wanjiru meet Kikuyu singers at her church to deliberate on the matter. Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria was also present.
“We stand in solidarity with our local artists; the CMOs must pay them all their dues. The artists should enjoy the fruit of their labor…I am glad that Parliament through the leadership of Hon Moses Kuria has taken up this matter and I guarantee them my full support. Let us unite and protect our local music industry. Shiru wa G.P. #MamaCounty” Wrote Ms Wanjiru.
Renowned gospel singer, Shiro Wa GP was among some of the vernacular musicians that were in attendance.
