Bien has revealed that he has banned everyone in his family from cooking githeri (a mixture of maize and beans) in his house.
The Sauti Sol lead singer opened up about his strong hate for githeri while speaking about the foods he likes and those he hates.
When asked about his least favorite meal, Bien unapologetically listed githeri, emphasizing that he dislikes it so much that he has a strict rule against it in his house.
“I told my house manager, my wife, and my mum also know that nobody is allowed to cook that food in my house. It is the worst meal in my world,” Bien stated.
The musician added that he has tried eating githeri with other spices and foods and still he just ended up hating it.
“I tried eating it with avocado, BlueBand, and other things, but it did not work,” he added.
Bien attributed his hate for githeri to his time in boarding school, revealing he ate githeri and cabbage a lot that he ended up hating the two foods.
“I also don’t do cabbage because of high school,” he said.
