Sauti Sol’s frontman Bien-Aimé Baraza who is known mononymously as Bien has got signed as a solo artiste under Sauti Sol record label Sol Generation for a hefty amount of money.

Bien-Aimé has proven over the years that he’s a bonafide solo artiste as much as he is a part of the boyband music group Sauti Sol having worked with some of the best artistes Kenya has to offer with some of them being Khaligraph Jones, Sara Mitaru, Willy Paul, Nviiri the Storyteller, Okello Max, Wendy Kimani and recently he worked with Aaron Rimbui on his hit record ‘Bald Men Anthem’ just to mention a few.

Bien-Aimé got signed under the same record label that Sauti Sol got signed under which they own some shares as a group.

Bien-Aimé got signed for KShs. 50 million and received a dummy check written to him from Sol Generation. The 50 million is his advance.

The General Manager of Sol Generation, Mr. William Nanjero is glad and happy to have signed Bien-Aimé under Sol Generation and took to social media to share the same sentiments.

“50 is not a random number, it is a representation of talent, grit, tenacity, and continuous improvement. It is also a representation of how the industry is deliberately being re-engineered.

Today we have signed an enigma. Bien-Aimé, welcome to the Sol Generation Music family,” William Nanjero shared on social media.

Sol Generation also shared their joy of seeing Bien-Aimé, signing under the record label that has only Nviiri the Storyteller, Sauti Sol, Bensoul on their roster but now they’ve added the Chairman of the Bald Man Association in the roster.

“History was made today as we welcome the newest addition to the Sol Generation Family, the chairman of the Bald Man Association himself; Bien-Aimé,” Sol Generation shared on social media.

“We think you’re going to feel right at home with your decision to sign with Sol Generation. Bien-Aimé we’re excited for the magic that’s coming,” they added.

Bien also opened up about his bold move of getting signed as a solo act under Sol Generation feeling grateful for the opportunity as he urged his fans to go stream his debut studio project as a solo artiste dubbed ‘Bald Men Love Better’, a collaborative studio EP with Aaron Rimbui.

The chairman stays overworking and today the God of Larry Madowo remembered me.

I am beyond excited to officially join Sol Generation as an artiste. Mambo ya aki Bien we need a favor na kunilipa na exposure imeisha. The chairman is respected. Hapa ni shangwe tu na MBWE MBWE,” Bien said as he got signed.

“My first solo project ‘Bald Men Love Better’ with Aaron Rimbui is Out Everywhere. Go stream!” he added.
