BASATA officially lift their ban on Diamond Platnumz and Rayvanny

Diamond Platnumz (real name Nasib Abdul)and Rayvanny(real name Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa) can finally have a sigh of relief after the National Arts Council BASATA lifted their ban officially after they were banned indefinitely last year after they went against the arts council and performed their banned song ‘Mwanza’, the song was banned over its x-rated lyrics.

Taking to social media, Diamond went on to share the official letter as written by BASATA Executive Secretary, Godfrey L. Mngereza which officially lifted not only their ban[Diamond Platnumz and Rayvanny] but also their show, Wasafi Festival 2018 and their company, Wasafi Company Limited.

“BASATA yawafungulia rasmi Wasanii kutoka kwenye lebo ya WASAFI pamoja na tamasha lao la “Wasafi Festival 2018″. #SanaaNiKazi” BASATA captioned the said letter that they also shared on their social media pages.

Elated Diamond Platnumz also took time and shared his gratitude via social media thanking the government for their wise decision by ligting their ban. After the ban was lifted, Diamond Platnumz also gave a green light for his camp, Wasafi Classic Baby to release new hits scheduled for this year.

He wrote: “Shukran sana sana Wizara yetu, Baraza letu la @basata.tanzania , Viongozi wote na Serikali kwa Ujumla….. Sanaa ni kazi, tuipende, tuilinde na Kuithamini. HAPPY INDEPENDECE VANNY BOY!!!!!!! @rayvanny….. IT’S TIME TO DROP OUR NEW 2019 HITS NOW!!….MY PEOPLE!!”.
