Bahati and Diana Marua met for the first time in 2016 during the shooting of the singer’s music video ‘Mapenzi’ where the latter was the main video vixen.
Diana and Bahati fell deeply in love after the video shoot, they immediately started dating and one year later on 20th October 2017 they got married in a low key traditional wedding.
Marriage however has not been a bed of roses for the couple. Bahati opened up about the challenges he experienced in his marriage for the first two years.
Speaking during an interview with Betty Kyallo on K24’s Up Close, Bahati revealed that his wife used to pack and leave their matrimonial home at the slightest provocation.
“The first two years of marriage Diana used to pack and leave the house. She used to go back to her parents home just because I failed to say sorry whenever I wronged her,” Bahati.
Diana on the other hand when asked about what she dislikes about her husband, the mother of two said that Bahati is always on his phone while at home and that pisses her off.
“Bahati is always on his phone when in the house and gives minimal attention to his family. I wish he makes more time for his family,” said Diana Marua.
