In October this year, Citizen TV ultimately decided to bring down the curtain on popular kids’ show Machachari which aired on the station for 13 long years.
The show revolved around the lives of young children in the slum and how they relate with day to day life activities. The characters however ‘outgrew’ the TV show as years passed by, in recent years viewers had been complaining about the age of Machachari’s characters.
Citizen TV axed Machachari as it was no longer appealing to its target audience. The show used to aired on Citizen TV every Friday at 7:30pm for the past 13 years.

Machachari former actor Tyler Kamau Mbaya, who played Baha on the show, is back with a new show after Citizen pulled the plug on the kids’ show.
In a series of posts on social media, Baha announced that his new show dubbed ‘Love Daggers’ will air begging this November 22nd.
