Rapper Kayvo Kforce has cemented his legacy in the Kenyan hip hop scene and the entertainment showbiz too. The Kibera rapper has taken to social media to open up about how Kenyans are attentive and keen to consume foreign music rather than giving their own a chance to entertain them and even went on to joke on how the international beef between female rappers, Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma has the possibility of getting featured on the Prime Time News at 9 pm.

“All this over attentive attitude to foreigners & everything foreign is what ails&continues to kill our Kenyan entertainment industry…Usishangae kuona beef ya Remy Ma na Nikki Minaj kwa Prime Time News at 9..” Kayvo Kforce said

It is no shame in admitting the fact that Kenyans does not appreciate their own music but they would rather listen to Sean Paul, Wizkid, Sarkodie, Diamond Platnumz even Kanye West rather than listen to Smallz Lethal, Khaligraph Jones, Kayvo Kforce, Elani, Sanaipei Tande, Wyre and more Kenyan artistes who produces original music content. It is a shame because countries like Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, South Africa even Ghana appreciates their own and that’s why they continue to shine and win and more importantly that’s why we even know who they are because they are appreciated back home.

Kenyans, is it too much to ask you to kindly acknowledge and support your own? It all starts with you

I love everybody who loves everybody, somebody got to love somebody at some point.
Music is something that comes natural to everybody and it's a language that everybody can understand, I understand it and that's why I speak it
fluently, do you.
