Diamond Platnumz’s Wasafi Records revealed it was in the advanced stages of signing Aslay who used to be in the same music group with Mbosso.

Wasafi top boss Mkubwa Fella, who used to manage Aslay back when he was a member of the defunct Yamoto Band, revealed the plan by WCB to sign the ‘Naenda Kusema’ hitmaker.

Speaking during an interview on Wasafi FM, Fella revealed that there are ambitious plans to sign Aslay to the biggest record label in the East African region.

However, Aslay has since poured cold water on the statement made by Mkubwa Fella.

Responding to that statement, Aslay said he had no objection being signed by any label envisioned by Mkubwa Fella whom he sees as his father in the music industry.

Aslay nonetheless insisted that he is currently under the Rockstar label managed by Sony, insisting that he has never been in talks with Wasafi about being signed to the label.

Ninatamani tu sehemu yoyote yaani sio tu WCB Wasafi bali sehemu yoyote tu ambayo ninaona kuna muongozo mzuri, mimi nitaenda. Lakini mnajua kabisa sasa hivi nipo kwenye rekodi lebo,” Aslay said.
